Fate of Lady Gaga Meat Dress Decided

The fate of Lady Gaga's VMA meat dress has been decided - it will become jerky.
Gaga defended her decision to wear raw meat to the award show on the Ellen DeGeneres show saying she was not looking to offend vegetarians or vegans, rather she hoped to make a social statement.
“It has many interpretations — but for me, this evening, it’s that if we don’t stand up for what we believe in, if we don’t fight for our rights, pretty soon we’re gonna have as much rights as the meat on our bones. AND I am not a piece of meat.”
Designer Franc Fernandez is the brains behind Gaga's beef, creating it with meat from his family butcher.
"The dress will go through a process where it becomes a sort of 'jerky' and will be archived," Fernandez told E! News.
Overall, it's not a bad idea to dry the thing and save it posterity. It's not like Lady Gaga can wear it again. And to just throw it out would no doubt create more controversy for the pop star.
PETA condemned the singer's dress, as well as the matching meat bikini she wore on the cover of Vogue Hommes Japan.
"Wearing a dress made out of cuts of dead cows is offensive enough to bring comment, but someone should whisper in her ear that there are more people who are upset by butchery than who are impressed by it."
Do you think Gaga made the right statement by wearing steak?
